I never really know what to write about myself. I don’t see myself as others do. I think perhaps I am still being revealed. I’m a work in progress, but aren’t we all? I love fiercely and loyally, but try not expect too much from those around me. I’m a single Jesus loving homeschooling mom of 4 kids…3 of them through adoption. I, myself, was adopted as a young child.
The purpose of this blog is to chronicle my journey as I work toward accomplishing some things. Some are simple, others are more complex.
This is a part of the Journey of Me.
Dar~ Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful, wonderful goals with me. I think they are all attainable, albeit, challenging goals. Start by reminding yourself to “do hard things” everyday. I put up a bunch of those reminders for myself around our home. Now, the kids are quick to remind each other (and ME, too) to do hard things whenever I am/ they are faced with a challenge. I would suggest to make yourself accountable to your kids, as well; at least on some of the goals. Imagine having your children become your most enthusiastic cheering squad.
…you go!
Hello Dar Dear,
I didn’t know that you like routine. I didn’t know that about myself until I had to have a routine to keep sane. Now I love it. If I’m having a hard day I can go into auto pilot and just follow the routine. I don’t have to spend all this energy wondering what to do next. The first thing you need to do is sit down and write out a routine that will work for you and your kids. Try it out for a few days and if it works, stick with it. In a couple weeks or less a habit will be set and you’ll be able to accomplish daily goals w/o having to drag yourself to it.
What to do if you break routine? Don’t give up the routine altogether! Just get back on track asap and your body will quickly adjust back. What to do if a routine is not working? Sit down again and write a new one and try it. If it works stick to it. I’m amazed how this has simplified my life and has given me more energy to accomplish goals.
I am excited to be on this journey with you! Go Dar Go! (as Tim would say)
I love you!
Cindy
